Social Ecosystems

A while ago, while watching people returning from work, I wondered how the chaos of thousands of individual lives come together to get things done. Thousands of individuals get up, get ready, find a way to their places of employment, work together, and get things done. Seems like an impressive feat of coordination.

So, I started to deconstruct social ecosystems and figure out how many people can work together. What types of systems are out there, and how people fit into them.
